A 56-year-old Mexican national attempted to smuggle a massive haul of narcotics totaling 415.61 pounds and worth over $2.5 million but was intercepted by U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

The incident occurred two weeks ago at the Tecate Port of Entry along the San Diego-Tijuana border but information has only just been announced by CBP. Enforcement officers described targeting a suspicious Toyota Tundra laden with toolboxes that, when inspected, revealed 94 packages stuffed with narcotics. The Mexican national was detained, turned over to ICE, and processed and booked into the Metropolitan Corrections Center in San Diego.

While the number of drugs seized during this stop might seem significant, it pales in comparison to the total amount smuggled into the United States every week. It’s self-evident that, in order for drug smuggling to be a profitable business, cartels must ensure that more heroin reaches the street than is confiscated by CBP. The latest data from CBP, which only covers the first three months of this year, logged almost 300,000 pounds worth of intercepted drugs. In other words, well over 300,000 pounds of narcotics—and likely many times that number—have successfully made it into the United States. CBP is only able to thoroughly inspect about 5% of vehicles that cross the border, leaning the odds heavily in the direction of a successful smuggling effort.

CBP released an official statement on the seizure:

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers working at the Tecate Port of Entry discovered more than 400 pounds of methamphetamine, cocaine and heroin concealed in toolboxes destined for the U.S.

The incident occurred on Friday, April 1, at approximately 1:30 p.m. when a 56-year-old male driver of a 2006 Toyota Tundra was waiting in line to enter the United States. CBP officers targeted the vehicle and referred it for further examination.

During the inspection, CBP officers discovered and extracted a total of 94 packages of narcotics from underneath and inside multiple toolboxes on the bed of the vehicle. The narcotics were tested and identified as cocaine, methamphetamine, and heroin with a combined weight of approximately 415.61 pounds.

“This interception is a true testament to the diligence of our frontline CBP officers,” said Rosa Hernandez, Port Director for the Otay Mesa Port of Entry. “Our officers continue to remain vigilant and prevent illicit narcotics from poisoning our local communities.”

CBP officers arrested the driver, a Mexican national with a valid legal permanent resident document, for the alleged narcotic smuggling attempt and was turned over to the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Homeland Security Investigations for further processing. The driver was later transported and booked into the Metropolitan Corrections Center in San Diego.

CBP officers seized the vehicle and the narcotics, which has an estimated street value of $2.56 million.

Criminal charges are merely allegations. Defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

Reyes: We’re facing the collapse of law enforcement in America. It will lead to the end of our country as we know it.

Societies that erase history have a dark future ahead of them. Here's your proof. (Op-ed)

Editor’s note:  In what has become something of an annual tradition (sadly), Law Enforcement Today writes about the challenges facing not only law enforcement, but our country in general.

These articles have proven to be among the most popular we post. When we started this series, we thought things were pretty bad. However, since January 20, things have gotten much, much worse.

Last year during the run up to the November election, we tried to warn people what our country was up against, and what the Democrats had in mind. Sadly, but not surprisingly, we have found ourselves to be right.

Law Enforcement Today is written primarily for law enforcement officers and those who support law enforcement. However, our audience has expanded to include those who support our military, our Constitution and all the liberty and freedom it guarantees and are God-fearing patriotic Americans.

A lot of our readers ask how you can get involved. With that in mind, we invite you to prayerfully consider our membership program—LET Unity. The proceeds raised from that program are used to reinvest into capturing more stories about the heroes who protect us at home on our law enforcement agencies, and those who protect us abroad in the United States military.

The majority of our content producers for Law Enforcement Today are active, retired or wounded law enforcement officers.  The revenue we make helps provide for their families and helps bring a TRUE voice about what’s happening in America.

For the rest of you… simply keep following, keep reading, and keep sharing. Especially sharing…the more people who read these stories, the better it is for our law enforcement and military brethren.

I, [name], do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So, help me God.

On July 4, 1776, a group of patriots decided they had suffered enough at the hands of the British monarchy. On that date, at tremendous risk of their own personal safety and more so their very lives, they put quill to paper and signed the greatest document ever forged. A document that gave birth to the greatest country ever to grace the face of the earth—the United States of America.

Yet here we are, 245 years nearly to the day that document was signed, and we find our country at a crossroads. When you look at all the great dynasties in the history of the world, all of them eventually collapsed. The Roman Empire…the British Empire…they number many.

Mortality.

It’s something that you don’t really consider when you’re young.  You can do anything.  You’re invincible.

But as we grow older, we start considering that mortality.

With all of that in mind, it’s time we start considering the mortality of America.

I spend a substantial amount of time working in two different arenas – the world of law enforcement and the business world.

By day, I run a marketing agency. Among the areas we work in, we do extensive work in the firearms industry.  My travels take me across the country – often to some of the most rural parts of America.

By night, I am the National Spokesman for Law Enforcement Today.  I’m not a police officer.  I was tapped because I can do one thing cops can’t do.  I can give them a voice.  I can run my mouth and no agency can fire me.

That travel that I referenced – both in the business world and supporting the LE world – has afforded me countless opportunities to work side by side with some of the greatest patriots in America.

White House Says The Quiet Part Out Loud, Confesses Jabs Killing People Of Color At An Alarming Rate [VIDEO]

If one were to apply the Left’s standards, this would be racist.

BY GREGORY HOYT
APRIL 16, 2022

WASHINGTON, DC – On April 14th, the White House debuted a virtual event dubbed “Convening on Equity,” where among the presenters featured was Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra who made the astonishing announcement that the COVID jabs were killing off “people of color” at a rate twice as high as white Americans.

“Secondly, by having better data, we can do a couple of things. Vaccines a year ago today, by the way, we know that vaccines are killing people of color, blacks, Latinos, indigenous people at about two times the rate of white Americans. So, on vaccines last year, we saw that about two-thirds of white American adults had received at least one shot of vaccine.

“That was just barely over 50% for black Americans and Latinos at that particular time. So again, we’ve got to work. Today, a year later, over 80% of white American adults have received at least one shot. Over 80% of black American adults have received at least one shot. Over 80% of Latino Americans have received at least one vaccine shot

The gravity of the HHS secretary outwardly linking these COVID shots to killing people is certainly something, considering that the Biden administration has been a massive advocate of the “safe and effective” narrative surrounding these shots.

As time goes on, we’re learning more about the adverse effects caused by these COVID shots, with institutions who’d pressured society to take these very shots and quietly admit that they may not have been as “safe” as they were promoted to be.

Earlier in April, Red Voice Media reported on how the World Health Organization (WHO) acknowledged in a March newsletter that cases of “sudden” hearing loss and tinnitus were being linked to the COVID jabs, going so far as to admit “alternative causes were not identified” regarding the hearing loss and tinnitus cases.

Weeks earlier, Pfizer documents that were released unveiled a list of 1,291 different types of adverse reactions that were of “special interest” that occurred during the clinical trials of their COVID shot.

Of course, any talk of severe adverse reactions and even death stemming from these shots is not something that rests well with Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla, who likens the sharing of these jab-related injuries as being a criminal act.

Back on March 29th, Bourla mocked those who’ve lost loved ones from these shots, saying, “They know that what they’re saying is lying. But they do it despite that. There’s an article with a picture of a man’s wife ‘I forced her to get the vaccine, and then because of the vaccine, she died.’ I realize all of that lies, of course. And they did it, why? Because they wanted to convince people that they were on the fence to do the vaccine or not, don’t do it. Look, his wife died. But forget that, that’s nothing compared to how many people didn’t do the vaccine and died because of that. So they are criminals.”

‘The Defendant video taped himself’ — Lafey found guilty on all counts in murder of Ionia County teen

By Jake Draugelis

If you think there’s not some very disturbed individuals out there… read this. You’ll immediately change your mind!

HASTINGS, Mich. (WILX) – Andrew Lafey was arrested in February of 2021 for the murder of a 18-year-old Gracyn Briskly, of Ionia County.

Police said the killing took place behind a house on Guy Road in Maple Grove Township on Feb. 16. Lafey shot Brickley several times with a .22 rifle, then used his phone to record a nearly 11-minute video of himself kicking her until she died.

Lafey then buried her body under snow. He went back inside the home and showed the video to his friends who, along with Lafey’s father, reported him to police the next morning.

The trail lasted four days. Lafey, of Nashville Michigan, was found guilty Friday on all charges.

The convictions are as follows:

  • Count 1: First Degree Murder (MCL 750.316), both premeditated and felony murder: This conviction carries a maximum of Life in prison without the possibility of parole.
  • Count 2: Felony Firearm (MCL 750.227b), this conviction carries a 2 year mandatory sentence, which must be served consecutive to the sentence for First Degree Murder.
  • Count 3: Torture (MCL 750.85): This conviction carries a maximum sentence of Life or any term of years.
  • Count 4: Felony Firearm (MCL 750.227b): this conviction carries a 2 year mandatory sentence, which must be served consecutive to the sentence for Torture.
  • Count 5: Possession of a Firearm by a Felon (MCL 750.224f), this conviction carries a maximum of 5 years in prison and/or a fine of $5000.00.
  • Count 6: Felony Firearm (MCL 750.227b), this conviction carries a 2 year mandatory sentence, which must be served consecutive to the Felon in Possession of a Firearm conviction.

Lafey waived his right to a jury trial in this case, so the trial was held before Judge Michael Schipper. The case was tried by Barry County Prosecutor Julie Nakfoor Pratt and Assistant Prosecutor Christopher Elsworth.

“We would like to thank Detective Sgt. Janette Maki for her thorough investigation,” Pratt wrote in a statement. “The convictions stem from the February 16, 2021 torture and murder of Gracyn-Michael-Kay-Candace Brickley.”

Pratt explained that the case was a particularly heinous one.

“The circumstances of Grace Brickley’s death were horrific,” Pratt said. “The Defendant video taped himself stomping on and taunting Grace Brickley for close to 11 minutes. The torture seen in the video came after Lafey shot Grace Brickley twice and inflicted multiple injuries to her face and breaking her jaw.”

The prosecutors said they were pleased with the verdict.

Pratt said, “Justice for Grace Brickley and her family was served.”

Sentencing for Andrew Lafey will be held on June 9 at 9:00 a.m. before Judge Schipper.
