Fauci Says The Pandemic Is Over… Then Walks It Back After He Is Dressed Down By The White House

By Adam Wilson | Apr 28, 2022

Fauci has shielded himself from criticism by claiming that he is not beholden to politicians and that his recommendations are solely based on the ‘science.’

During Trump’s presidency, Fauci consistently contradicted Trump, including when Trump was attempting to get the US past Covid-19 so that authoritarian lockdowns could be lifted.

It turns out that Fauci, like other government bureaucrats who claim to be apolitical, is willing to tweak his messaging when he is pressured by Democratic politicians and liberal activists.

Last week, Fauci said that the United States was ‘out of the pandemic phase’ and that infections and deaths were at a low level.

“We are certainly right now in this country out of the pandemic phase,” Fauci said. “Namely we don’t have 900,000 new infections a day and tens and tens and tens of thousands of hospitalizations and thousands of deaths. We are at a low level right now.”

“So, if you’re saying, are we out of the pandemic phase in this country, we are. What we hope to do, I don’t believe, and I have spoken about this widely, we’re not going to eradicate this virus,” he said. “If we can keep that level very low, and intermittently vaccinate people — and I don’t know how often that would have to be.”

Then, the White House contradicted him, saying that the pandemic ‘isn’t over. Biden clearly intends to milk the pandemic for all its worth with midterms coming up and isn’t willing to let ‘science’ get in the way.

“COVID isn’t over, and the pandemic isn’t over,” Psaki told reporters on Wednesday.

Presumably, Fauci got a private dressing down from the Biden White House after they were forced to contradict him.  Yesterday, he walked back his comments and claimed that he only intended to say that the ‘acute’ phase of the pandemic is over.

“I want to clarify one thing,” Fauci told NPR on Wednesday. “I probably should have said the acute component of the pandemic phase, and I understand how that can lead to some misinterpretation.”

It’s great to know that we are basing the science on what a man who can’t even string a coherent sentencetogether wants it to be.

US economy shrank 1.4% at beginning of 2022, marking worst quarter in 2 years

US economy shrank 1.4% at beginning of 2022, marking worst quarter in 2 years

Economists expected the economy to expand by 1.1%, a marked slowdown from 2021

Harvard University professor Kenneth Rogoff, a former chief economist at the International Monetary Fund, tells 'Mornings with Maria' that GDP falling at a 1.4% annualized rate is 'even below the worst' he thought it might have been.

The U.S. economy cooled markedly in the first three months of the year, as snarled supply chains, record-high inflation and labor shortages weighed on growth and slowed the pandemic recovery.

Gross domestic product, the broadest measure of goods and services produced across the economy, shrank by 1.4% on an annualized basis in the three-month period from January through March, the Commerce Department said in its first reading of the data on Thursday.

COLLAPSING TRUCKER DEMAND COULD FORESHADOW LOOMING RECESSION

Refinitiv economists expected the report to show the economy had expanded by 1.1%. It marked the worst performance since the spring of 2020, when the U.S. economy was still deep in the throes of the COVID-induced recession.

“Today’s shock drop in GDP is a wake-up call that the economy isn’t as strong as we all thought,” said Chris Zaccarelli, chief investment officer for Independent Advisor Alliance. “It’s possible that GDP gets revised higher next month, as this is just the first release and there will be two revisions, but it is a warning sign.”

The headline figure often obscures the whole picture because the Commerce Department calculates the GDP on a quarter-over-quarter basis as if that level of growth were sustained for a full year; in times of huge swings up or down, it can exaggerate both the decline in growth and the subsequent rebound.

Looking at the quarterly data, the nation’s GDP declined by about 0.3% from the fourth quarter to the first quarter, compared with an increase of 1.68% between the third and fourth quarter.

Port California economy

The substantial downturn stems from a widening trade deficit, with the U.S. importing far more than it exported: In the three-month period from January to March, imports surged by nearly 20% as businesses and consumers bought more goods from abroad. But exports fell about 6% – an imbalance that widened the trade deficit.

The U.S. also saw a slower pace of inventory investment by businesses in the first quarter, following a surge in investors at the end of 2021 as companies restocked in anticipation of the holiday-shopping season.

But key pillars of the economy – consumer spending and business investment – remained solid last quarter: Businesses and consumers boosted their spending by 3.6% at the start of the year, compared with 6.1% last year. Another bright spot in the economy is the jobs market. Unemployment fell to 3.6% last month, the lowest level since the pandemic began in February 2020, and jobless claims have continued to fall amid an exceptionally tight labor market.

“Huge miss on GDP this morning, but just looking at headlines is misleading,” said Cliff Hodge, chief investment officer for Cornerstone Wealth. “We’d rate the report neutral overall. Trade, inventories and government spending all dragged, but the consumer held up and business investment was strong.”

The latest data comes amid growing fears on Wall Street that a recession is looming in the next two years as a result of the Russian war in Ukraine, soaring inflation and an increasingly hawkish Federal Reserve. With the consumer price index at a 40-year high, the U.S. central bank is moving quickly to raise rates in an effort to cool demand.

Fed policymakers hiked the benchmark federal funds rate by 25 basis points in March and have since telegraphed that steeper, 50-point rate hikes are “on the table” at upcoming meetings, beginning in May.

The new challenges have prompted economists to downgrade their expectations for the year. The International Monetary Fund said in its latest World Economic Outlook that global domestic gross product will grow by 3.6% this year, a 0.8 percentage point drop from its January estimate.

Fed Chairman Jerome Powell has pushed back against concern that further tightening by the central bank will trigger a recession and has maintained optimism that the Fed can strike a delicate balance between taming inflation without crushing the economy.

Still, he acknowledged the difficulty of the task ahead and said it is “absolutely essential” for central bankers to restore price stability.

“Our goal is to use our tools to get demand and supply back in sync, so inflation moves back into place, without a slowdown that amounts to a recession,” Powell said during a recent panel discussion with the IMF and the World Bank. “I don’t think you’ll hear anyone at the Fed say that’s straightforward and easy. It’s going to be challenging.”

REPORT: 33-Year-Old Mother Paralyzed Following COVID Jab

REPORT: 33-Year-Old Mother Paralyzed Following COVID Jab

Another day, another tragedy. It’s become an all-too-familiar story by now.

Her doctor, her government and the mainstream media – all assured her it would be OK, and that the new experimental mRNA synthetic pharmaceutical cocktail was ‘safe and effective.’ In a mere moment, her entire life turned on a dime.

Just 12 hours after receiving her experimental COVID-19 gene therapy injection manufactured by Pfizer, 33-year-old mother Rachel Cecere’s body began rebelling against her, and she was later diagnosed with “acute distress to the nervous system.” Rachel found herself paralyzed from the neck down, but three weeks later she was able to regain strength in her upper body, except for her left hand.

The timing of the onset of her disease just after receiving the experimental ‘vaccine’ is suspect to say the least. Was her disability brought on by the jab? If so, who will be held accountable?

She is not alone either. To date the various vaccine adverse reactions databases in the US, UK, and EU alone contain, on the aggregate, millions of reported injuries, as well as tens of thousands of deaths following the experimental shot.

She asks in desperation, “When is this going to get better?” Watch:

President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has seemingly confirmed plans to siphon healthcare services away from American veterans treated at Veterans Affairs (VA) to illegal aliens arriving at the United States-Mexico border.

During a hearing before the House Homeland Security Committee on Wednesday, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas confirmed to Rep. Ashley Hinson (R-IA) that the Biden administration is in talks with VA officials to potentially transfer doctors and nurses to the southern border to treat illegal aliens arriving every day in record-breaking numbers.

“Is the department planning to reallocate resources, doctors and nurses, from our VA system intended to care for our veterans to illegal immigrants at our southern border?” Hinson asked.

Mayorkas responded, stating that “the resources that the medical personnel from the Veterans Administration would allocate to this effort is under the judgment of the secretary of Veterans Affairs, who prioritizes the interests of veterans above all others for very noble and correct.”

When Hinson asked if Mayorkas had any conversations about the plan, he responded, “I have not personally, but of course, our teams, our personnel have. and I’d be very pleased to follow up with you.”

The remarks come as Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) had sought clarification on reports that the Biden administration was looking to siphon doctors and nurses away from the VA toward illegal aliens at the border.

“In the words of one [Customs and Border Protection] official, ‘We’re going to take medical services away from people that really deserve that, who went to combat … to give free medical attention to illegal migrants,’” Hawley wrote in a letter to Mayorkas.

Already, Americans are forced to subsidize medical care for illegal aliens to the tune of $18.5 billion annually. Last year alone, Americans footed the bill for more than $316 million in medical care for border crossers and illegal aliens who were detained in Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody.

President Joe Biden said he’s sending Congress a request for more security and humanitarian funding for Ukraine. During a press conference at the White House Thursday, Biden said in total he’s asking for an additional $33 billion for the war-torn country as the conflict continues for more than two months.

Twenty billion dollars will be used for military assistance, $8 billion for economic assistance and $3 billion for humanitarian aid, which is expected to last through September 30. The President stressed the aid will help Ukraine continue defending it’s sovereignty against Russian aggression.

“Basically, we’re out of money and so that’s why today, in order to sustain Ukraine as it continues to fight, I’m sending Congress a supplemental budget request, ” Biden stateted. “It’s going to keep weapons and ammunition flowing without interruption to the brave Ukrainian fighters, and continue delivering economic humanitarian assistance to the Ukrainian people.”

Biden also is sending a proposal to Congress to use funds from seized assets of Russian oligarchs to help Ukraine fight Vladimir Putin’s invasion.

Biden Regime Gets Creepier: DHS Sec. Mayorkas Announces New ‘Disinformation Governance Board’

Nick Kangadis | April 28, 2022

Leave it to the Biden regime to create a “Board” that the fictional “Ministry of Magic’s” Delores Umbridge would be jealous of. Look it up. You’ll get the comparison.

On Wednesday, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Alejandro Mayorkas testified in front of the House Appropriations Subcommittee to talk about the 2023 budget. In doing so, Mayorkas revealed that the Biden regime’s DHS created a “‘Disinformation Governance Board’ to combat misinformation ahead of the 2022 midterms,” according to Fox News.

Because of course they are. I’m sure that’ll be completely ethical.

The person reportedly tasked with being the executive director of Big Brother — ahem, excuse me — the “Disinformation Governance Board” will be alleged Russian disinformation expert Nina Jankowicz.

The Daily Mail reported the following about Jankowicz:

  • Jankowicz has previously questioned the validity of Hunter Biden’s laptop, calling it ‘a Trump campaign product’
  • She also told NPR last week that she ‘shudders to think about’ more free speech on social media platforms after Elon Musk bought Twitter

“Now that I’ve got it: a HUGE focus of our work, and indeed, one of the key reasons the Board was established, is to maintain the Dept’s committment to protecting free speech, privacy, civil rights, & civil liberties,” Jankowicz tweeted on Wednesday.

So she wants to commit “to protecting free speech, privacy, civil rights, & civil liberties” by limiting what people can say after being the arbiter of what is or isn’t “disinformation.”

No possibility for corruption there. Sorry for not having confidence in someone who was previously a disinformation fellow at a center named after possibly the worst president in the history of the U.S., Woodrow Wilson.

Maybe I’m reading too much into that, but call me crazy for not having faith in another unelected bureaucrat who specializes in finding ways to squelch free speech.

Wikipedia editors removed the entry for Rosemont Seneca Partners earlier this week on the ground that it was “not notable,” archived comments from its Talk Page reveal.

The deletion happened Wednesday. The investment company co-founded by Hunter Biden has been at the heart of numerous questions surrounding his overseas business dealings

“This organization is only mentioned in connection with its famous founders, Hunter Biden and Christopher Heinz,” said a Wiki editor identified only as Alex who additionally warned that “keeping it around” ran the risk of the page becoming “a magnet for conspiracy theories about Hunter Biden.”

Arguments to merge the story with Hunter Biden’s official wikipedia page were also overruled.

The brief article was thin on details and in bad need of an overhaul, but did provide information about the company’s founding by Hunter Biden, Devon Archer and Chris Heinz. Devon Archer founded Rosemont Seneca Partners with Biden and Chris Heinz.Alec Tabak for NY Post

Wikipedia has tilted so far left in recent years that its co-founder Larry Sanger now says the site can not longer be trusted and has become “propaganda.”

“There’s a very big, nasty, complex game being played behind the scenes to make the article say what somebody wants them to say,” Sanger said last year.

Activist editors on the site have long tried to delete an entry for ‘Mass killings under communist regimes’ — though for now it remains online. The original entry for Rosemont Seneca Partners in Wikipedia.WikipediaA Wikipedia editor claimed the article is could be “a magnet for conspiracy theories about Hunter Biden.”Wikipedia

Critics said the Rosemont decision showed a double standard.

“If a Trump-linked company had its Wikipedia page wiped or one from the Russia probe, it’s more than a safe bet to say that CNN would be dedicating multiple reporters to following the internet trail,” said Curtis Houck, Managing Editor of the Media Research Center told The Post.
