Philadelphia Child Shot, National Media Silent For Specific Reason

Philadelphia Child Shot, National Media Silent For Specific Reason

THE NATIONAL MEDIA WAS SILENT

A 12-year-old boy was shot and killed by Philadelphia police nearly two weeks ago.

Did this make your nightly news? Did basketball teams boycott their games? Was there performative outrage across the country accompanied by violent riots?

Local reports explain Thomas Siderio Jr. was fleeing police when he was shot in the back. It is undetermined whether Siderio was armed.

Siderio is white, like most Americans shot by police, by the way, so he will not be revered like other victims of police shootings.

Folks like Siderio are killed by police at nearly double the rate each year as black people.

Dead Caucasians, however, do not score political points for perpetually angry left-wing bigots. The activists and media usually ignore their deaths because facts interrupt the outrage machine’s Big Lie that police are “systemically racist.”

Walter Wallace, for example, was a black Philadelphian killed by police 17 months ago after attacking them with a weapon. Following a domestic dispute call, Wallace rushed toward the police officers arriving at the scene. Backing away, the cops demanded he drop his weapon, yet he refused. Since police eventually killed Wallace, the incident made national news and led to hooligans rioting and looting in large cities.

For young Siderio, there was no outrage.

As for further particulars, police say he fired a gun at them while they sat in a car, injuring one officer. Police returned fire as Siderio, and a friend ran away. Like the Wallace case, police only used their guns because they felt threatened. Police officers — at least those I know — want to protect us.

Big Tech, as usual, is also culpable via its bigotry and biases.

Internet searches for the Wallace incident show his race in almost every news story; whereas, a search for Siderio rarely lists his race in headlines. Race is clearly only mentioned to vilify police or augment “systemic racism” claims for the New York Times and CNN’s ratings. This is why people enormously overestimate how many blacks are killed annually by U.S. police officers.

“This happened less than a mile from where I live, and I did not know about it until you emailed me,” a Philadelphia resident told me on Tuesday morning. “Thankfully, there was no looting, I guess. It seems more accurate information could destroy the Black Lives Matter and associated movements, which are mostly kept alive by ensuring we the people remain ignorant of truths.”

Officials: Texas foster care center sex-trafficked minors

State officials say employees at a foster care center under a state contract to shelter children who have been trafficked for sex have been trafficking those children themselves

Officials: Texas foster care center sex-trafficked minors

ByThe Associated Press

March 10, 2022, 8:49 PM

HOUSTON — State officials told a federal judge Thursday that employees at a foster care center under a state contract to shelter children who had been trafficked for sex had been trafficking those children themselves.

The matter arose at an emergency hearing before U.S. District Judge Janis Graham Jack, who has been presiding over a 2011 class-action lawsuit against the state Department of Family and Protective Services that alleged that children were held in unsafe conditions, the Houston Chronicle and San Antonio Express-News reported.

State officials said a staffer reported in late January that a former employee had sold nude photos of two young girls and used the money to purchase illegal drugs and alcohol for them. Further investigation revealed several staffers still employed at The Refuge were involved in the criminal activity.

There are seven alleged victims and nine alleged perpetrators, state officials said. One staff member has been arrested, and additional criminal charges are expected, officials said. The children were finally removed from the facility by Wednesday, 1 1/2 months after the first report, state officials said.

“The most appalling thing about this is the disregard of these children,” Jack said. “You had to wait to get eight calls before you took 11 female already-trafficked children out of this trafficking situation. This is a system that remains broken.”

Department Commissioner Jaime Masters said she was only made aware of the situation Wednesday.

“There is no excuse for why I didn’t know, which is why several people are losing their jobs,” Masters said.

In a statement, The Refuge said it was “fully cooperating with authorities and we hope the alleged perpetrator will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, and we will assist the Sheriff and the Bastrop County District Attorney’s office in their prosecution.”

“Our hearts are broken and we are outraged by the actions of former employees whose intent was to harm, not help,” said founder and CEO Brooke Crowder.

Big Tech Censored Dozens of Doctors, More Than 800 Accounts for COVID-19 ‘Misinformation,’ Study Finds

Major technology companies and social media platforms have removed, suppressed or flagged the accounts of more than 800 prominent individuals and organizations, including medical doctors, for COVID-19 “misinformation,” according to a new study from the Media Research Center.

The study focused on acts of censorship on major social media platforms and online services, including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Ads, and TikTok.

dailycallerlogo

Instances of censorship included Facebook’s decision to flag the British Medical Journal with a “fact check” and “missing context” label, reducing the visibility of a post, for a study delving into data-integrity issues with a Pfizer vaccine clinical trial.

Facebook also deleted the page of the Great Barrington Declaration, an open letter led by dozens of medical professionals, including Dr. Jay Battacharya, a Stanford epidemiologist, and Dr. Martin Kulldorff, a former employee of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which advocated for less restrictive measures to address the dangers of COVID-19.

“Big Tech set up a system where you can’t disagree with ‘the science’ even though that’s the foundation of the scientific method,” Dan Gainor, MRC vice president of Free Speech America, told the Daily Caller National Foundation. “If doctors and academic journals can’t debate publicly, then it’s not science at all. It’s ‘religion.’”

Big Tech also scrubbed podcast host Joe Rogan’s interviews with scientists Dr. Peter McCullough and Dr. Robert Malone, the latter of whom was instrumental in pioneering mRNA technology. Twitter banned Malone from its platform permanently in late December over the virologist’s tweets questioning the efficacy and safety of the COVID-19 vaccine.

“We tallied 32 different doctors who were censored, including mRNA vaccine innovator Dr. Robert Malone,” Gainor said. “Censoring views of credentialed experts doesn’t ensure confidence in vaccines. It undermines faith in government COVID-19 strategies.“

In addition to medical doctors, the study examined instances in which members of Congress were censored by tech platforms.

These included an incident last August in which YouTube suspended Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., for posting a video arguing that “cloth masks” are not effective against the coronavirus, a view later echoed by many prominent medical commentators. Twitter also flagged a tweet from Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., in which he wrote “studies show those with natural immunity from a prior infection are much less likely to contract and spread COVID than those who only have vaccine-induced immunity.”

The study also examined Big Tech censorship of prominent media personalities, such as Rogan, Tucker Carlson, and Dan Bongino.

THAT LITTLE BLACK BOOK… The Clinton/Epstein Connection

According to records obtained by the Daily Mail, between 1993 and 1995, Jeffrey Epstein visited President Bill Clinton’s White House 17 times, bringing with him a total of eight women.

The convicted sex offender had connections to many celebrities, journalists and prominent political figures, including Clinton. Many of them were listed in Epstein’s little black book.

In its report on Epstein’s many visits to the Clinton White House, the Daily Mail noted that hanging on the walls of Epstein’s mansion in Palm Beach, Florida, were photos of these visits and a few of the women he had with him.

In addition to Epstein’s longtime partner, Ghislaine Maxwell, the names of the other seven women who accompanied him to the Clinton White House were listed in the report.

Maxwell was recently convicted of several crimes related to her complicity in the sex-trafficking crimes of Epstein.

The Daily Mail said three of the women named were Epstein’s former girlfriends — Celina Midelfart, Eva Andersson-Dubin and Francis Jardine.

The other women in the photos were Jennifer Garrison, Shelley Gafni, Jennifer Driver and Lyoubov Orlova.

As this news surrounding Bill Clinton continues to develop, one can just imagine Hillary tensing up with frustration and thinking to herself, “Not again!”

After all, her husband has been accused of sexually assaulting and harassing several women over the years, and he was impeached for lying about his sexual relationship with a White House intern.

It’s unclear how many additional prominent figures were involved in Epstein’s crimes.

Britain’s Prince Andrew faces a lawsuit over allegations that he sexually assaulted one of Epstein’s victims when she was 17 years old.

Andrew has denied any wrongdoing, but Queen Elizabeth II chose to strip him of his royal titles on Thursday.

Will other prominent political figures — former U.S. presidents, for example — face similar legal proceedings related to their relationships with Jeffrey Epstein?

Only time will tell.

Congregate Care Facilities For Children

Breaking The Code of Silence of Fostered and Orphaned children

An estimated 120,000 to 200,000 minors are placed in congregate care facilities across the United States annually, according to information from Breaking Code Silence, an advocacy group made up of people who were placed in treatment facilities.

Oregon foster child mistreated while out of state joins federal lawmakers in oversight push

The first time Uvea Spezza-Lopin traveled on a plane, she was 9 and in the custody of the Oregon foster care system. State child welfare officials sent her to a psychiatric residential treatment facility in Montana. There, she was regularly sedated, restrained and locked in a seclusion room.

This week, Spezza-Lopin, now 12, took another flight. This time she headed to Washington, D.C., to speak alongside U.S. lawmakers to support an effort to federally regulate what’s often called the “troubled teen” industry.

Between 2016 and 2018, the number of foster children Oregon leaders sent to residential treatment facilities in other states skyrocketed. Children were scattered across 16 different states at one point. At the time, state workers said they didn’t have enough foster placements in Oregon.

Two people with blond hair stand side by side.
Uvea Spezza-Lopin, right, joins Paris Hilton in calling for more oversight into treatment facilities that house vulnerable kids. Sara Gelser Blouin

The senator noted Oregon had stopped placing children in such facilities, in large part due to the work of Oregon state Sen. Sara Gelser Blouin, D-Corvallis. Gelser Blouin grilled Oregon state child welfare officials after OPB broke the news in 2019 that the state was shipping children out of state.

“Let’s stop the system of shipping children out of state to facilities that have no oversight,” Merkley said Wednesday.

Merkley and Rep. Ro Khanna, D-California, are pushing to create a commission in the U.S. Department of Justice to oversee congregate care. The legislation would also give grants to states to help regulate the facilities. Finally, it would create a bill of rights to ensure kids placed in care don’t lose their rights.

An estimated 120,000 to 200,000 minors are placed in congregate care facilities across the United States annually, according to information from Breaking Code Silence, an advocacy group made up of people who were placed in treatment facilities.

“Many children leave these facilities more traumatized than when they arrived,” U.S. Rep. Adam Schiff, D-California, said at the press conference.

This week, Spezza-Lopin shared her story of being in foster care off and on since she was a baby, of being placed in 15 different placements, homes and institutions, of being thrown onto a concrete floor, put in a headlock and called a pervert by adult caretakers while in Montana.

The girl from Junction City, Oregon, spent her day in Washington, D.C. with an unlikely friend, Paris Hilton. The celebrity and entrepreneur was abused while at Utah’s Provo Canyon School in the 1990s and has joined the effort to bring more oversight to the industry.

Hilton noted the state-by-state patchwork of regulations under which these facilities currently operate is not working and detailed the abuse she suffered as a teen.

Spezza-Lopin spent her time in Washington lobbying with Hilton. She met well-known politicians and appeared on Good Morning America. She ate at her first restaurant that used cloth napkins.

But as she stood in front of the U.S. Capitol, with photographers snapping photos and microphones in her face, she was thinking of her best friend at the facility in Montana, another young girl with whom she has no way of contacting.

Ella, if you’re out there,” she said. “I’m doing this for us

Today, there are an estimated 120,000 – 200,000 minors in congregate care facilities across the United States. These youth are pipelined into congregate care placements through the child welfare and juvenile justice systems, school districts’ individualized education programs, refugee resettlement agencies, mental health providers, and private parental placement. Many of these youth have prior trauma histories before placement, issues only exacerbated by extended separation from their communities once placed in an institutional setting.

This industry receives an estimated $23 billion dollars of annual public funds to purportedly treat the behavioral and psychological needs of vulnerable youth, yet it operates without meaningful oversight. The
industry’s lack of transparency and quality care has led to youth experiencing maltreatment including sexual assault, physical and medical neglect, and bodily assault that has resulted in civil rights violations, hospitalizations, and death. Youth are too often denied access to legal counsel, advocacy, and the most basic rights to personal safety and satisfactory living conditions.

States and facilities have long neglected to track the placement and lengths of stay of youth, ensure quality care, report critical incidents and deaths, develop best practices, and account for outcomes of
care. Without data, or means to track and address findings of institutional abuse, our nation’s understanding of this issue is severely limited. We must begin by developing systems and infrastructure
that will prevent catastrophic abuse and increase our understanding of evidence-based practices for youth in these settings.

BECAUSE THE LICENSURE OF THESE TREATMENT OR BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION FACILITIES VARIES WIDELY……………………………. WE NEEDED A BROADER DEFINITION.

WHAT DEFINES CONGREGATE CARE?
Breaking Code Silence defines the term Congregate Care Program or Facility (CCP/CF) as a public or private entity that, with respect to one or more children who are unrelated to the owner or operator of the program, purports to provide housing, treatment, or modify behaviors in a residential environment, such as:

  • Wilderness or outdoor experience, expedition, or Intervention
  • Boot camp or other experience designed to simulate characteristics of basic military training or correctional regimes
  • Residential treatment program, center, or facility
  • Non-medical residential center
  • Therapeutic boardinq school
  • Behavioral modification program
  • Foster care facility
  • Youth justice facility
  • *The term “CP/CCF” does not include a psychiatric hospital

“TREATMENT SHOULDN’T LEAVE A COMMUNITY OF SURVIVORS”

WHAT WE RE SEEING”

Investigations conducted by Breaking Code Silence and state officials have collectively shown trends in congregate care facilities.
Here are a few of the many abuses seen consistently across congregate settings:

  • Inhumane and degrading discipline
  • Usage of seclusion and physical, mechanical, and chemical restraint
  • Physical, medical, and nutritional neglect
  • Sexual assault, harassment, and grooming
  • Forced medication and overmedication
  • Conversion and aversion therapy
  • Lack of individualized treatment
  • Prohibition of communication with parents, lawyers, and advocates
  • Restricted access to education

In the 2021 study, “Away From Home: Youth Experiences of Institutional Placements in Foster Care” by the organization, Think of Us, surveyed 78 young people with recent lived experience in institutional placements.

Although this study only recorded the experiences of youth in child welfare, the sentiments expressed show an accurate reflection of all children and young people in institutions.

  • “Institution placements failed to meet the mandate of child welfare”.
  • “Institutional placements were carceral”
  • “Institutional placements were punitive”
  • “Institutional placements were traumatic and unfit for healthy child and adolescent development”
  • “Institutional placements felt like they didn’t have a way out”

“DESPERATION WITHOUT DIGNITY’: NDRN

“Desperation Without Dignity: Conditions of Children Placed in For Profit Residential Facilities” a 2021 report issued by the National Disability Rights Network in tandem with 18 state protection and advocacy agencies (P&As) gave a grueling inside look at the experiences at for-profit residential centers.

Some of the findings include:

  • “Physical abuse, often masked as punishment or a control tactic, is not uncommon in RFs.”
  • “Children in RFs across the country report sexual assault at the hands of staff.”
  • …overuse and misuse of psychiatric medication during monitoring visits at both youth residential facilities and also at for-profit psychiatric hospitals that treat children.”
  • “Youth were found to lack adequate access to clean water and proper sanitation and have limited recreational space.
  • investigators noted blood and feces on the walls and floors of the residence halls durinq a monitoring visit..
  • ..youth were forced to sleep on concrete slabs and almost exclusively sit on the floor…
  • “Some youths report that they are unable to obtain academic credit for education completed at RFs, putting them at a
  • significant disadvantage upon return to their communities.’

* Because of inconsistent reporting and licensing standards this number is most likely much higher. This number accounts for Juvenile Justice, Child Welfare, and special Education placements – and estimates private placements.

WHAT SHOULD WE DO?

THIS ISSUE IS NOT NEW.
For decades, government and independent investigative reports
have consistently pointed to weaknesses in regulation, oversight, inconsistent licensing, decentralized jurisdiction, lack of reporting, and lack of meaningful State action towards non-compliance. Yet, little has been done.

These reports have highlighted how this negligence has led to
loss of life and continues to underscore that congreqate care
placement does not have positive outcomes for youth.

“IT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE TO FOCUS ON ONE OR THE OTHER FIRST. A “FIRST THIS, THEN THAT” APPROACH HAS RESULTED IN A CYCLICAL NON-SOLUTION, WITH A GREAT DEAL OF PLANNING AND VERY LITTLE CHANGE. –DESPERATION WITHOUT DIGNITY, NDRN

ORGANIZATIONAL GOALS
YOUTH RIGHTS:

To establish youth rights for all young people in congregate care and systemizing loqistical processes that allow them to enjoy exercising their rights with efficacy and immediacy.

DEFINE THE ISSUE:
To establish a working definition of institutional abuse and neglect so as to engage with currently
established child protection agencies and allow victims to seek recourse. This definition and understanding
of facility culture and practices that allow for environments of abuse will also assist in the development of
individual treatment and intervention for institutional abuse.

OVERSIGHT AND ACCOUNTABILITY:
To create a culture of transparency, data-sharing, and meaningful State action against non-compliance is
the start to eliminating abusive settings disquised as “treatment.” To do this, it is vital to empower and fund
local protection and advocacy agencies, advocates, and oversight entities to have authority and necessary
resources to enforce actions against non-compliant facilities that are endangering young people.

FAMILY OVER FACILITIES:
Without question, prioritizing family-unity and community must be reflected in policy and funding efforts.
Bringing this high-level goal down to local agency level is what will prevent young people from being placed
out of the home. We must focus on what our communities are lacking to make this possible. Accessibility,
quality of services, and funding are good places to start.

DEPATHOLOGIZING ADOLESCENCE:
To shape a world in which transitioning into adulthood is supported, encouraged, and not criminalized is the beqinning to healing our families and communities. We must abandon all punitive ideology about young people and instead ask ourselves how we can be mentors, leaders, and support in their lives.

THE ACCOUNTABILITY FOR CONGREGATE CARE ACT

The Accountability for Congregate Care Act of 2021 will address systemic weaknesses across multiple agencies and systems that increase reliance on congregate care and subject youth to abuse and neglect.

The passage of this Act will create a uniform Youth in Congregate Care Bill of Rights for all youth in congregate care regardless of which public or private pipeline they entered the facility.

This Bill of Rights will create a standard for the ACCA Joint Commission to lead an interdisciplinary program of research, in consultation with other Federal agencies, recognized experts in the field, and advocates. Through this research, the Commission will advise on reduction of
congregate care placement, understanding the nature and scope of institutional abuse, and will consult with States on the closure of facilities that are unable to meet standards within the Youth in Congregate Care Bill of Rights.

By supporting the passage of ACCA, funds will be created to mend systemic issues that have led to our current failures in youth and family services. The main goal being to not only establish understood rights, but to lift the walls of our largest systems and work together to provide youth with the tools and opportunities to have the brilliant futures they
deserve.

THE YOUTH IN CONGREGATE CARE BILL OF RIGHTS

EVERY YOUTH IN CONGREGATE CARE. SHOULD HAVE THE RIGHT TO:

  • a right to physical well-being, including
    • freedom from abuse and neqlect; includinq all forms of physical, psychological, and sexual abuse, neglect, exploitation, financial exploitation, and excessive medication;
      • the right to be free from institutional abuse and neqlect
      • freedom from aversive behavioral interventions
      • freedom from physical, mechanical, and chemical restraint or seclusion
    • protection against unreasonable search and seizure;
      • including the use of strip searches or cavity searches as a means of punishment
  • a right to social and emotional well-being, including
    • prohibition of long periods of forced silence
    • restriction of communication with staff, caregivers, child protective services, law enforcement, or advocates
    • sufficient educational and life skills imparted onto them
    • reasonable daily access to the outdoors
    • to have essential needs met
  • to individualized and appropriate
    • to treatment that is culturally competent, trauma-informed, and most supportive of such each youth’s personal liberty and development
  • to be free from abusive, humiliating, degrading, or traumatizing treatment by staff or other youth; including
  • the ability to report mistreatment anonymously without fear of reprisal
  • • access a protection and advocacy agency

Jury Convicts Alabama Man of Soliciting Videos and Webcam Shows of Filipina Children Being Sexually Assaulted | USAO-NDAL | Department of Justice

Department of Justice
U.S. Attorney’s Office
Northern District of Alabama
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Thursday, October 7, 2021
Jury Convicts Alabama Man of Soliciting Videos and Webcam Shows of Filipina Children Being Sexually Assaulted
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – A federal jury convicted a Morgan County man Tuesday for using Internet applications to seek images, videos, and live transmissions of the violent sexual abuse of Filipina children as young as five years old.

According to court documents and evidence presented at trial, Benjamin Walter, 41, of Decatur, AL, used two web service provider accounts, including messenger and webcam applications, to get women in the Philippines to sexually abuse their own children and relatives.  Walter’s requests to these women, which spanned approximately three years, included directions to arrange for the gang rape of young children and to sexually assault several young children in other harmful ways.  Walter sent the money to the Philippines for these videos, images, and live transmissions via MoneyGram, Western Union, and other money remitters in $25 to $50 increments.  In addition to the live webcam shows, Walter also sent and received emails to which the senders attached images and videos of young children engaged in sex acts with adult men.  This investigation was part of a joint FBI and Homeland Security Investigations operation that targeted the buyers and sellers of these types of webcam shows in the Philippines.

“Today’s conviction sends a clear message that the protection of the most innocent and vulnerable victims, our children, from child exploitation is of the utmost importance,” said U.S. Attorney Escalona.  “The jury’s decision to hold the defendant accountable for his conduct and to reject his defenses demonstrates that those who commit these horrific crimes will be met with swift and certain justice.  We are grateful for the work of the FBI Birmingham Division and FBI Huntsville Resident Agency for their investigation of this case, and for the assistance of the Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section in prosecuting the case.”

The FBI and our partners will continue to work diligently to bring individuals like Walter to justice and protect our most valuable asset, our children,” Sharp said

Walter was convicted of four counts of producing and attempting to produce child pornography and one count each of receiving and distributing child pornography. Sentencing is set for January 5, 2022.  Walter faces a mandatory minimum penalty of 15 years of imprisonment and a maximum of 160 years of imprisonment.

FBI Birmingham Division and FBI Huntsville Resident Agency  investigated the case.

Trial Attorneys Charles Schmitz and Nadia Prinz of the Justice Department’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section and Assistant U.S. Attorney Leann R. White of the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Alabama are prosecuting the case.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.  Led by U.S. Attorneys’ Offices and Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section (CEOS), Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state, and local resources to better locate, apprehend and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the internet, as well as to identify and rescue victims. Jadin Nunez from Killeen, Texas Charged With Capital Murder, Sentenced to Life For Death of Girlfriends 2-Year-Old Daughter

Jadin Nunez will be spending the rest of his life behind bars after a jury found him guilty of the capital murder of a 2-year-old child in Temple two years ago.

Jadin Nunez will be spending the rest of his life behind bars after a jury found him guilty of the capital murder of a 2-year-old child in Temple two years ago.
Jadin Nunez Sentenced to Life in Prison With No Chance of Parole After Beating 2 Year, Old Shannah McAlpine to Death When She Put Her Shoes On The Wrong Feet

A Texas man was sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole after he beat to death his girlfriend’s 2-year-old daughter after she failed to put her shoes on the correct feet.

Jadin Nunez will be spending the rest of his life behind bars after a jury found him guilty of the capital murder of a 2-year-old child in Temple two years ago.

The incident unfolded in Sept. 2019 when the child reportedly put her shoes on the wrong feet, apparently enraging Nunez in the process.

The incident that resulted in the child’s death took place just moments before they were headed to a local store to pick up supplies for her upcoming birthday party.

What are the details?

A Bell County, Texas, judge sentenced 27-year-old Jadin Nunez to life in prison last week after a jury of his peers found him guilty of murdering 2-year-old Shannah McAlpine in 2019.

Nunez, according to police, began beating Shannah, striking her across the face and then forcefully punching her in the stomach at least three times while he held her in the air.

The mother and co-defendant in the case, Ashley Marie McAlpine, was booked into jail on Dec. 17, 2020, after she was charged with injury to a child. Ashley McAlpine, 29, was being held in the Bell County Jail in lieu of a bond of $500,000, on the first-degree felony charge.

She has pleaded not guilty and has a pre-trial hearing set for Oct. 29, in the 426th Judicial District Court, according to court records.

Nunez was Ashley McAlpine’s boyfriend who lived with her and her children in Temple. Police said that Ashley McAlpine knew her children — including Shannah’s sister were beaten by Nunez, but said she would not stop him, according to a Child Protective Services report.

Sept. 22, 2019

Temple police were dispatched to a medical emergency call in the 800 block of South 11th Street. When they got there, the 2-year-old girl was found covered in bruises and not breathing. Investigators with the Criminal Investigations Unit began an investigation into the girl’s death because the cause wasn’t known.

An investigation revealed that Nunez beat and choked the child. The autopsy report said Shannah McAlpine died of blunt force trauma to her stomach, according to an arrest affidavit.

The violence that led to Shannah’s death began over shoes on the wrong feet, an investigator with Texas Department of Family & Protective Services said in his report that was obtained by FME News Service.

The family was getting ready to go to the store to get things for a birthday party for Shannah and her brother, according to the document. The girl had her shoes on the wrong feet, and Nunez then hit her on her face. She fell, and Nunez grabbed her and held her up in the air before he punched her three times in her stomach and dropped her to the floor, Ashley McAlpine told investigators.

Shannah’s mother, Ashley Marie McAlpine, then reportedly discovered the child in distress and said that she whisked her from the room and placed her on a bed elsewhere in the home. Nunez, she said, then came into the room and reportedly began choking the child with both hands. McApline said that the child began to turn blue, but Nunez refused to give up. I When he did stop choking her, the child gasped for breath and curled into a fetal position, she recalled.

Later on that night, McAlpine said that she awakened to hear her daughter crying, she tried to give her food and drink before realizing that the child’s stomach was swollen and hot, but the rest of her body was cold.

McAlpine said that she tried to put her daughter in the shower to warm her up, but the child was unable to stand and could not breathe.

At about 2:49 a.m. the mother phoned 911 and summoned first responders to the home.

Shannah was pronounced dead at 3:31 a.m.

GROOMING…. let’s talk about it

GROOMING…. let’s talk about it

The destiny of so many
Pizzagate is real

Let’s start back in 1919. Charlie Chaplin, who would become one of the most famous and celebrated movie stars of all time, was 29 when he married 16 year old aspiring actress Mildred Harris. Their marriage only lasted 2 years. In 1924, Chaplin repeated the pattern with another 16 year old, Lita Gray. He met Lita when she was just 6 and began taking her on dates around the age of 12.

1954 — Sam Cooke meets a 12-year old Aretha Franklin and brings her to his hotel room. Before her father interrupted, Aretha said the conversation “took another turn.” Cooke was 23 years old.

Sam Cooke was 18 and Barbara Campbell was only 13 when they met on the South Side of Chicago.

In 1957, 23 year old Jerry Lee Lewis married his cousin, 13 year old Myra Brown. She still believed in Santa.

Also in 1957, 16 year old Anna Mae Bullock met 24 year old Ike Turner. He quickly took her into his band, helped make her a star, and began to treat the newly christened “Tina” as if he owned her. They married 6 years later. Tina once wrote that she was afraid not to accept his proposal.

In 1959, Elvis Presley met his future wife. He was 25 and she was 14. They stayed in touch via phone and letters for the next 2 1/2 years. At that time, Elvis took her on a drug romp to Vegas, followed by moving her into his Graceland mansion. They didn’t marry until 1967. While both parties claimed that Priscilla was a virgin on her wedding night, biographer Susan Finstad makes a strong case that this could not be true. Priscilla herself has admitted that she & Elvis slept in the same bed and that Elvis “taught (her) other ways to please him.” Elvis reportedly had a predeliction for 14 year old girls, both before and after his marriage to Priscilla.

Chuck Berry was arrested and found guilty of transporting an underage girl across state lines for immoral purposes, spending two years in jail in 1960.

In 1969, Sable Starr, queen of the so-called “baby groupies”, had a brief relationship with Iggy Pop. She was 13. He later wrote a song about it. Starr had sexual relationships with many other band members, including encouters with David Bowie, Mick Jagger, and Rod Stewart.

It’s 1972 and Rock stars are still having sex with little girls and everyone knows it, but no one does anything about it. Lori Mattix tells of losing her virginity at age 14 to David Bowie. She went on to start “dating” Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page that same year, a relationsihp that began when Page’s manager kidnapped her and brought her to Jimmy’s hotel room. Page kept Lori essentially locked up in his house for most of their 18 months together. The “baby groupie” also reports a sexual relationship with Mick Jagger when she was just 17.

In 1973, married singer Marvin Gaye met and pursued 17 year old Janis Hunter. He wrote “Let’s Get it On” as a tribute to his lust for her. Marvin took his teen date to dinner shortly after they met, where he bribed the waiter to bring her alcohol, then had sex with her later that night. They had a baby by the time she was 18, and married in 1977. The marriage lasted just 3 years.

In 1975, Steven Tyler purchased the guardianship of a 16 year old girl (Julia Holcomb) from her mother when he was 27 so that he could legally take her with him across state lines while he was on tour.

In 1978, Ted Nugent also purchases the guardianship of a teenager from her parents. He was 30, Pele Massa was 17. Years later, Ted reportedly received oral sex from a 12 year old Courtney Love.

March 10, 1977. One of the most well-known cases. Director Roman Polanski drugs and rapes 13 year old Samantha Gailey. Allowed to plead guilty to a lesser charge, Polanski nevertheless fled to France before sentencing and remains exiled from the United States. He has not been exiled, however, from Hollywood and continues to make movies and win awards to this day.
Eagles drummer and vocalist Don Henley was arrested in 1980 in Los Angeles after paramedics were called to his home to save a naked 16-year-old girl who was overdosing on cocaine and Quaaludes.

Colored over as a a “grand romance” and a “decades long relationship”, Celine Dion was 12 years old when 38 year old Rene Angelil became her manager. They went public with their relationship when she was 19.

In 1984, Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman started dating Mandy Smith. She was 13. Although they did not marry until she was 18, Mandy says she was 14 when they first had sex. Mr. Wyman has never been investigated, much less prosecuted.

Red Hot Chili Peppers’ lead Anthony Kiedis readily admits to having sex with a 14 year old girl when he was 23. According to him, once he confirmed her age he “had sex with her again.” In 1986, the 24-year old musician began dating 16 year old Ione Skye.

In 1990, 16 year old Mayte Garcia’s mother sent a video of her belly-dancing to Prince. He arranged to meet her, confirmed she was 16 and a year later moved her into his house. When she was 19, he initiated a sexual relationshi by informing her it was time to go on birth control. They married when she was 22 and he was 37. Before Mayte, Prince met “Anna Fantastic” when she was 15. At 17, she moved into his compound where they had a two year long relationship.

In 1991, 32 year old director Luc Besson met and eventually married model Maïwenn Le Besco when she was 15. Their relationship inspired his movie Léon: The Professional (1994), which followed an emotional relationship between an adult man and a young girl.

In 1993, Jerry Seinfeld picked up a high school student in a public park. He was 39 and she was 17. He and Shoshanna Lonstein dated for four years — through her college years.

Also in 1993, MC Ren of N.W.A. was accused of raping and impregnating a 16 year old girl in the group’s tour bus. The case never went to trial, however a paternity test showed that he was the father of the girl’s baby.

Noted paedophile R Kelly secretly married R&B singer Aaliyah in 1994 when she was 15 and he was 27. They met when she was 12 and he later helped write and produce her first album — “Age Ain’t Nothing but a Number.”

In 1995, teen star Brandy (age 16) started dating 21-year-old Boyz II Men member Wanya Morris. Keeping their relationship under wraps due to her age proved too stressful for the couple and they broke up soon after.

In 1997, Woody Allen should have become notorious when he married his de facto step-daughter. Though she was 21 at the time of the wedding, the two met when she 8. No matter the spin, the facts are stark. This wasn’t the only time Allen dated a much younger woman. Actress Babi Christina Engelhardt began a years-long love affair with Allen when she was 16 and he was 41. When Allen was 42, he romanced 17-year-old actress and high school senior Stacey Nelkin.

It’s the early-mid 2000s and “That 70s Show” actor, Wilmer Valderrama, continues to date teenage girls in an effort to deny that he is now over 30. He dated 16-year-old Mandy Moore despite being four years her senior. At age 24, Valderrama dated 17-year-old Lindsay Lohan though they kept the relationship a secret until her 18th birthday in 2004. In 2010, the 30-year-old began dating 17-year-old Demi Lovato.

In 2001, Fast & Furious star Paul Walker (28 at the time) was dating 16-year old Aubrianna Atwell. This was not Paul’s last time to date a teenager. His girlfriend at the time of his death, Jasmine Pilchard-Gosnell, was 23 to his 40. They met when she was 16.

Back in 2004, 26 year old Joel Madden and Hilary Duff did the familiar dance of being “just friends” until her 18th birthday in 2006. When asked about whether she was intimate with Madden or not in a 2015 interview with Cosmopolitan, Duff stated, “I had a 26-year-old boyfriend. So everyone can make their own assumptions about what I was doing.”
In 2005, clean cut TV heartthrob Chad Michael Murray begins dating a girl in high school. They get engaged when she turns 18 and Murray calls her a “little sweetheart” and says they have been together “for awhile.”

Similarly, in 2006, co-stars Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventimiglia began dating. She was 17. He was 12 years her senior.

Actor Doug Hutchison married 16-year-old Courtney Stodden in 2011, when he was 51 years old. The dysfunctional pair became famous as reality stars, with Courtney undergoing extensive plastic surgery to maintain their image.

Rapper Tyga and Kylie Jenner began “hanging out” an awful lot beginning in 2014 when she was 16 and he was 24. They dated on and off after that, though they became a lot more openly “on” after her 18th birthday in 2016.

In late 2018, 44 year old Leonardo DiCaprio publicly reveals that he is dating 21 year old model Camilla Morrone. It’s not the age gap that puts Leo on our list, it’s the fact that he’s known Camilla since she was 11.

2018 — 14 year old Millie Bobby Brown innocently revealed that rapper, Drake, age 31, has been close friends with her, for the last year giving her advice about boys. He texts her, “I miss you.” This is the same Drake who has, more than once, skated around that “just friends until she turns 18” line — most recently with 18 year old model Bella Harris.

1992 – Fashion was a major part of Kimora Lee Simmons and Russell Simmons’ story from the start. The pair met at a New York Fashion Week show in 1992, when Kimora Lee was 17 years old.

At the time, the young model was making waves on the catwalks and was particularly favored by Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld. She was also still finishing her education in high school.

Simmons was 35 years old when he started a relationship with the teenager. He was known as a “ladies man”

A number of women, some of whom were aged 17 at the time of the alleged incidents, have accused Simmons of sexual harassment, assault or rape.

Guys, this isn’t a friendship. This is GROOMING. No one will stop it. They’ll “date.” He’ll have sex with her, probably in a couple of years. No one will care because he’s a man and a star.

NO ONE WILL CARE UNLESS WE START MAKING PEOPLE CARE.

Make them care. No free passes. No 2nd chances. A ruined career is the least they deserve. It’s not cute. THIS IS NOT OK.

My personal views:

Why have hardly any of these predators been prosecuted? and just as disturbing is why family and friends and employees of both parties involved seemingly turned a blind eye!

The true list will no doubt be double this length, also adding sexual assaults by Hollywood stars, music artists and others in the limelight that over the years were brushed under the carpet.

The culture of power, money and fame isn’t a defence, neither should the perpetrators be allowed to get away with it.

Too much victim blaming goes on in the world of stardom and Hollywood, even for the youngest of victims who are labelled gold diggers or fame hungry by many…. What’s forgotten is that THESE ARE CHILDREN!!

Essential Account Safety for Parents and Kids

Before you begin looking at the all of the information available here, it’s important for you to protect your own device and online accounts. One of the most important settings you will ever need to activate for any online account, is the Two-Factor Authentication option. Please ensure that you take the time to understand the importance of this security feature. To help you, we have prepared this handy guide to explain it for you.

Securing Online Accounts with 2FA

It’s really important to secure online accounts with 2FA. A large number of celebrities and journalists Twitter accounts are regularly hacked. Often not for malicious reasons, but to show that the the accounts were vulnerable. People sometimes do this in an effort to make a point regarding online security issues, or to cause harm.

Mobile Number Spoofing

The ease at which mobile numbers are spoofed, should come as a warning to people using a text message as a means to authenticate their online accounts. By spoofing the target number, it enables an attacker to send an authentication message from the platform to another device. This allows access to the account. Passwords and details can be altered once the account has been accessed, which can prevent the owner of the account from accessing it.

The first line of defence is always going to be a strong password. Two Factor Authentication adds an extra layer of security, to protect your account. However, the use of a text message to send codes for an online account to a mobile device, can be a vulnerability. This is why we recommend using Authy.

Mobile Authenticator Code Generator

One way to protect the account from an attack, such as this is to use a Mobile Authenticator Code Generator such as Authy. The App is free and really easy to use. You can download it directly from the Google Play Store or the App Store. Once installed log follow this guide for some of the more popular Platforms.
