ALL DEMOCRAT’s on the committee are PULLING OUT of the FIELD HEARING about the BORDER CRISIS in Texas on Wednesday

BREAKING: House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Rep Mark Green tells us he has just learned all Democrats on the committee are pulling out from attending a field hearing about the border crisis in Texas on Wednesday. He says that’s despite several Dems confirming attendance, & inviting their own minority witness, who is confirmed on the federal panel.
US Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz is also set to testify. Chairman Green says he was given no reason for the abrupt pullout. Chairman Green’s statement below. #FoxNews

Homeland Security committee Dems confirm that they will not be attending the border hearing

They say that they never agreed to attend in the first place so they are not “pulling out.”

It’s time America takes ACTION! SPEAK UP!

Call: Rep Mark Green’s office 202-224-3121 (Capitol switchboard)

Speak to the staff of ranking committee chair, this gets your message to him directly…. otherwise, our voices are diluted 🇺🇸

STATEMENT from Ranking Member Bennie Thompson (D):

“After careful consideration, Committee Democrats have decided not to participate in the Republicans’ field hearing this week. Unfortunately, it has become clear that Republicans planned to politicize this event from the start, breaking with the Committee’s proud history of bipartisanship. Instead of a fact-finding mission to develop better border security and immigration policies, Republicans are traveling to the border to attack the Administration and try to score political points with their extreme rhetoric – despite having voted against the resources border personnel need. Committee Democrats are in regular contact with Department leadership and stakeholders on the ground and will be taking substantive site visits to the border – including as soon as this week.”

The Biden Border plan is to shift illegal immigration from mass numbers of illegal aliens rushing the border to paroling or releasing those same illegal aliens into the United States with employment authorization and access to welfare, preparing the illegals for eventual de facto or legislative amnesty. The legislative amnesty is off the table with the Republican House, but the de facto amnesty remains in play.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

Imagine it! All this is allowed by the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas.

The Biden Regime Administrative Amnesty hangs by a thread, though. The numbers of illegal aliens continue to increase, the parole or catch-and-release amnesty has been declared illegal by a Federal District Court judge in Florida, so the only way for the Biden Regime to survive the border crisis is to lie.

The Luge press’s is only too happy to run cover for the lies. Just a few days ago the Lying Press, Associated Press in this case, touted that the numbers of border crossers is down significantly, as if the announcements of the parole amnesty convinced millions of illegal aliens enroute through Central America or flying into Mexico from Africa, Asia, and South America to just return home and try and use the app to enter, rather than try their luck at the border. Actually, luck has nothing to do with it; coyotes who work for the cartels have guaranteed entry to the United States, no matter how many attempts it takes.

A sharp drop in illegal border crossings since December could blunt a Republican point of attack against President Joe Biden as the Democratic leader moves to reshape a broken asylum system that has dogged him and his predecessors.

A new poll by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research shows some support for changing the number of immigrants and asylum-seekers allowed into the country. About 4 in 10 U.S. adults say the level of immigration and asylum-seekers should be lowered, while about 2 in 10 say they should be higher, according to the poll. About a third want the numbers to remain the same.

The decrease in border crossings followed Biden’s announcement in early January that Mexico would take back Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans under a pandemic-era rule that denies migrants the right to seek asylum as part of an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19. At the same time, the U.S. agreed to admit up to 30,000 a month of those four nationalities on humanitarian parole if they apply online, enter at an airport and find a financial sponsor.

[Plunge In Border Crossings Could Blunt GOP Attack On Bidenby Elliot Spagat, AP, March 7, 2023]

Instead, the reality is that the Fiscal Year 2023 is heading to break the record of illegal immigration from the last two fiscal years, when over 5 million illegal aliens entered or attempted to enter the United States, with most being released into the United States.

Migrant encounters at the southern border have already surpassed the one million mark for Fiscal Year 2023, multiple Customs and Border Protection (CBP) sources tell Fox News, marking an unprecedented pace for encounters.

As of Friday, the total migrant encounters at the border were at 1,008,217 for the fiscal year, which began in October. Of those, 87.8% were single adults. Just 328,454 were expelled under Title 42 — the pandemic-era protocol that allows border agents to rapidly expel border crossers.

There were more than 1.7 million encounters overall in FY 2021 and over 2.3 million in FY 2022. The first months of FY 2023 have outpaced those of the prior fiscal year. This time last year, numbers for FY22 through March 1 were 839,819—well under the 1 million mark.

Meanwhile, there have been 354,522 known “gotaways”—illegal immigrants who have evaded Border Patrol agents but have been detected on another form of surveillance. In FY 2022, there were nearly 600,000 gotaways.

[Migrant Encounters At Southern Border Hit 1,000,000 Mark For FY 2023, Outpacing Prior Year: Sources, by Adam Shaw, Fox News, February 25, 2023]

One may argue that the last few days have educated the illegal aliens and the numbers are dropping. But sadly for the Biden Regime and the Lying Press, reality has struck, and badly. Illegal aliens for whom the CBP One app is not available or not working have decided they are coming in, by hook or by crook, but mostly by violence. In fact, they are reverting to the common tactic that appeared during the early Clinton Regime, rushing the Ports-of-Entry (POE), the facilities where pedestrians and motor vehicles enter the United States from Mexico. Such tactics began in the 90s, but occasionally happened more recently as well under the Obama Regime and the Trump Administration.

Chaos on Capitol Hill

The Sixth Amendment guarantees us a speedy trial. The process of those detained on January 6th has been anything but speedy. It has been impeded by disingenuous politics from the Left.

The information we see coming out from defense teams in the trials of these people indicate that the federal government and law enforcement from the District of Columbia were integral in goading the people into violent and illegal action.

Evidence has now been exposed that shows undercover and plain clothed police officers from both the DC Metro and the Capitol Hill Police – as well as federal agents – were amongst the protesters, some of them literally pushing people towards the doors of the Capitol Building.

Many of us have seen video already of Capitol Hill police officers showing people the way up the stairs inside the Capitol Building.

And then there is the joke of a January 6th committee that was put together – that was gerrymandered – by Nancy Pelosi that withheld all of the video evidence from that day. There shouldn’t be anything held back from that day as far as video evidence. It should all be open for the public to see.

Now that Kevin McCarthy has given Tucker Carlson complete access to that video archive I am sure we are going to see more things that really piss us off!

The bottom line here is that there were legitimate objections to some of the Electors that were being seated, objections that needed to go through a legal procedure in the Electoral College. That chaos stopped those objections.

So, if there was any gerrymandering of the election in 2020 – besides the fact that the Judicial Branch in the Supreme Court failed to act on a question of constitutionality where the changing of election law was concerned in several States – it happened with the Democrats manufacturing, fomenting, and encouraging chaos on Capitol Hill that stopped those objections to those electors being seated.

It’s all got to come out.

Everybody knows something wasn’t right with the election. I’m not going as far as to support Donald Trump’s “It was stolen,” but there were things that happened during that election that should never happen again.

Then, this morning’s segment on Talkback with Chuck Wilder…

Alliance Research 1991-2010 Enormous Scale of Pharma Criminal Fraud Settlements

report by Public Citizen documents the enormous scale of pharmaceutical industry lawless activities during the past two decades–crimes that resulted in a minimum of $1 million in penalties paid to the  government.

Between 1991-2010, there were 165 criminal and/or civil settlements by major pharmaceutical companies comprising of $19.8 billion in penalties.

Four of the world’s largest drug companies–GlaxoSmithKline, Pfizer, Eli Lilly, and Schering-Plough–accounted for 53% ($10.5 billion) of penalties during these two decades.

If that isn’t shocking enough, during the past five years, Big Pharma has been engaged in a veritable crime spree:

73%  of these settlements (121) and 75% of the penalties ($14.8 billion) occurred between 2006-2010.

“While the defense industry used to be the biggest defrauder of the federal government under the False Claims Act (FCA), a law enacted in 1863 to prevent defense contractor fraud, the pharmaceutical industry has greatly overtaken the defense industry in recent years.  The pharmaceutical industry now tops not only the defense industry, but all other industries in the total amount of fraud payments for actions taken against the federal government under the False Claims Act.”

Former company employees who filed qui tam (whistleblower) suits were the most instrumental in bringing to light the evidence that resulted in the largest number of federal settlements over the past 10 years.

From 1991-2000 qui tam law suits accounted for only 9% of settlements with the government. But from 2001-2010, qui tam settlements comprised 67% of the billions in payouts.

The federal government levied the largest financial penalties for the illegal off-label promotion of drugs and state governments levied the largest penalties for deliberate overcharging of Medicaid–both crimes yielded pharmaceutical companies with huge profits. Public Citizen found that state Medicaid programs were paying as much as 12 times the actual cost of a drug.

Additional unlawful practices by pharmaceutical companies include: unlawful monopoly practices to extend patent pricing or collusion with other companies, kickbacks to providers, hospitals, doctors; concealing negative study findings;  poor manufacturing practices and selling contaminated products; environmental violations; accounting or tax fraud and insider trading; illigal distribution of unapproved pharmaceutical products.

Thus,  the size of the financial penalties levied paled when compared with the profits from illegal practices–which is why this industry has escalated its criminal marketing modus operandi.

We wholeheartedly agree with the assessment of Public Citizen: “Clearly, the continuing increase in violations by pharmaceutical compaines–despite the large financial settlements– demonstrates that the current enforcement system is not working. The lack of criminal prosecution that would result in jailing of company executives has been cited as a major reason for the continuing large-scale fraud, in addition to the fact that current settlement payouts may not be a sufficient deterrent.”

Adding insult to injury, who do you think is footing the  cost of legal and settlement expenditures incurred by pharmaceutical companies?  Just check the increased price of drugs and figure it out.

Finally, government suits against pharmaceutical companies have avoided charging or penalizing pharmaceutical companies for the severe harmful consequences suffered by consumers from illegal marketed harmful drugs. This failure to address the disabling adverse drug effects and drug-linked deahts resulting from illegal pharmaceutical activities contributes to the devaluation of human beings–thereby buttressing  this industry’s disregard for the welfare of its customers.

Musk vs. Schwab at World Government Summit — Two Competing Visions for the Future

Billionaire Elon Musk and World Economic Forum (WEF) Chairman Klaus Schwab faced off this week, presenting competing visions for the future at this year’s World Government Summit (WGS).

Convened from Feb. 13-15 in Dubai under the slogan “Shaping Future Governments,” the WGS brought together prominent figures in politics, business and global governance in a format akin to that of the recent WEF annual meeting.

The WGS bills itself as “a global knowledge exchange platform dedicated to shaping the future of government worldwide.”

Participants comprised over 300 speakers and 10,000 attendees, including 250 government ministers and representatives from 80 international, regional and governmental organizations, including the U.N., WEF, World Health Organization (WHO), World Bank and International Monetary Fund.

Musk, Schwab and other leaders debated conflicting hopes and concerns for the future. The WGS itself also predicted what the world will look like by 2071, released as part of the WGS’ “Government in 2071” initiative.

These projections foresee a dystopian future of catastrophic climate change, mass migration, mass layoffs due to automation, ensuing social unrest and the merging of humans and technology as the “best-case scenario” for 2071.

Musk: AI, one-world government pose threats to humanity

Musk addressed the ongoing rise of artificial intelligence (AI) and the dangers of a one-world government, speaking by video to the WGS on Wednesday.

“One of the biggest risks to the future of civilization is AI,” Musk told WGS attendees. “But AI is both positive or negative — it has great promise, great capability but also, with that comes great danger.”

He commented on ChatGPT, the increasingly popular AI tool developed by OpenAI. Musk co-founded OpenAI with former PayPal partner Peter Thiel, but has since left its board of directors, the New York Post reported.

“ChatGPT, I think, has illustrated to people just how advanced AI has become. AI has been advanced for a while; it just didn’t have a user interface that was accessible to most people,” said Musk.

“What ChatGPT has done is just put an accessible user interface on AI technology that has been present for a few years,” he added.

Musk called upon governments to develop safety regulations for AI, comparing its rise to the development of nuclear technology.

“You look at, say, the discovery of nuclear physics. You had nuclear power generation but also nuclear bombs,” said Musk, adding:

“I think we need to regulate AI safety, frankly. Think of any technology which is potentially a risk to people, like if it’s aircraft or cars or medicine, we have regulatory bodies that oversee the public safety of cars and planes and medicine.

“I think we should have a similar set of regulatory oversight for artificial intelligence, because I think it is actually a bigger risk to society.”

This is not the first time Musk has made such remarks about AI. In March 2022, Musk said that “artificial intelligence going wrong” is one of the three biggest threats facing humanity, along with falling birth rates and the rise of “religious extremism.”

Others have expressed concerns about AI “going wrong” — alleging that bias is baked into the technology. The New York Post reported, for instance, that ChatGPT refused to write an article about Hunter Biden in the newspaper’s critical style, but it was willing to write the article from the perspective of CNN.

Business Insider argues that AI tools like ChatGPT must be “woke” in order to attract major investors.

Major investments are pouring into such AI technologies. Microsoft announced last month it is investing $10 billion in OpenAI, while Google is working on a competitor to ChatGPT known as “Bard.”

Musk, in his talk to WGS delegates, also addressed what he sees as the dangers of one-world government.

“I know this is called the World Government Summit, but I think we should be maybe a little bit concerned about actually becoming too much of a single world government,” he said. “We want to avoid creating a civilizational risk by having, frankly — this may sound a little odd — too much cooperation between governments.”

Instead, Musk called for the maintenance of “civilizational diversity.” He said:

“I think we want to be a little bit cautious about being too much of a single civilization, because if we are too much of a single civilization, then the whole thing may collapse.

“Obviously not suggesting war or anything like that, but I think we want to be a little bit wary of actually cooperating too much. It sounds a little odd, but we want to have some amount of civilizational diversity, such that if something does go wrong with some part of civilization, that the whole thing doesn’t collapse and humanity keeps moving forward.”

Musk also had some advice for political leaders and other prominent figures: speak in your own voice.

“I think people should speak in their own voice,” he said. “I would encourage CEOs, legislators, to speak authentically. Do the tweets yourself and convey your message directly.”

Musk tweeted that he chose to make these remarks at the WGS because it “seemed like the right venue.”

He also hinted at his plans for Twitter, indicating he expects to find a CEO to succeed him “probably toward the end of this year.”

“I think I need to stabilize the organization and just make sure it’s in a financially healthy place,” he said. “I’m guessing probably toward the end of this year would be good timing to find someone else to run the company.”

Schwab: Technology can help the elite ‘be the master of the world’

Perhaps confirming Musk’s fears, in his keynote speech to the WGS, Schwab said mastering technologies such as AI can help global elite “be the master of the world.”

“We are at the beginning,” he said. “When you look at technology transformation, it usually takes place in the terms of an S-curve. And we are just now where we move into the exponential phase.”

This phase, Schwab said, “requires us to strengthen cooperation and enhance coordination at the level of governments, countries and institutions to maintain the frameworks of international cooperation, which in turn is reflected in the paths of development comprehensively.”

Schwab referred to the recently concluded WEF annual meeting to contextualize his remarks, stating, “we discussed our ability to adapt to these global challenges, in light of various crises that require new mechanisms and innovative methods to help us reach a better future and serve the aspirations of humanity.”

Schwab said the coming decades will witness major “structural transformations” related to climate change. He argued for achieving the Paris Climate Agreement goals and reaching “zero carbon emissions.”

New technologies, said Schwab, will continue to play a vital role in these transformations.

“A few years ago, we considered some technologies a science fiction that was difficult to implement,” said Schwab. “But today, it has become a reality that we live through artificial intelligence, new space technology, and industrial biology, which heralds a major change coming during the next 10 years, and requires governments to be ambitious in their decisions.”

Schwab heralded AI’s role in helping bring about the Fourth Industrial Revolution, saying:

“Artificial intelligence, but not only artificial intelligence, but also the metaverse, neospace technologies, and I could go on and on … synthetic biology. Our life in ten years from now will be completely different, very much affected. And who masters those technologies, in some way, will be the master of the world.”

Like Musk he expressed some concerns, but his “deep concern” was that new technologies such as AI might “escape” the control of the global elite.

“My deep concern is that [regarding] #4IR technologies, if we don’t work together on a global scale, if we do not formulate, shape together the necessary policies, they will escape our power to master those technologies,” he said.

These same elites must therefore “shape the necessary policies to make sure that those technologies serve humankind.”

That’s how, Schwab said, they can show the public, which will “feel overwhelmed by change” because it can’t “understand really what’s going on,” why “those technologies can serve for the good.”

The WEF is an enthusiastic proponent of technologies such as AI and the metaverse.

Schwab’s remarks at the WGS about how new technologies can help the global elite “be the master of the world” closely mirrored his statements at this year’s WEF meeting, where he opined what it means “to master the future.”

Tedros: COVID ‘will not be the last pandemic’

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus also spoke at the WGS meeting, saying that COVID-19 “unfortunately … will not be the last pandemic or the major health emergency.”

He added:

“Other threats, such as climate change, will continue to increase in frequency and intensity.

“We owe it to those who we have lost and those who will come after us to learn the lessons and make the changes that should keep the world safer.”

U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres told attendees the world is “confronting a confluence of crises unlike any in our lifetimes.”

“Conflict is raging, poverty and hunger are rising, divisions are deepening, and the climate emergency keeps worsening,” he said. “We have a duty to act. We must forge a path towards greater cooperation, rooted in solidarity.”

To do so, he said:

“We must avoid short-term policymaking that delays taking on the big tests we face — and ultimately makes those challenges even more intractable. We must strengthen global governance and reinvigorate multilateralism for the 21st century. And we must act at the speed and scale that our fast-moving times demand.

“This applies to every challenge we face — from tackling the climate catastrophe and advancing sustainable development, to achieving peace and safeguarding human rights, including the rights of future generations. … Government action is critical, but not enough.”

“We need everyone — across the private sector, civil society, and beyond — to work together for the common good,” Guterres added. “This is our common agenda.”

And Arturo Bris of the IMD World Competitiveness Center, also speaking at the WGS, said that a “shock” is needed to spur the “transition” to a new “world order.”

Aside from speeches by key figures, the WGS meeting encompassed several forums, including “SDGs [Sustainable Development Goals] in Action,” “Future by Design Global Forum,” “Future of Work Forum,” “Future of Education Forum,” “Food System Transformation Forum” and “Gathering of the Greatest Minds.”

WGS proceedings were also accompanied by several reports that were published to complement this year’s meeting. PWC wrote one such report, suggesting that “policymakers and regulators will have to learn from non-traditional, non-government actors who have already built a foothold in the metaverse.”

Roberto Azevêdo, executive vice president and chief corporate affairs officer of PepsiCo and former director general of the World Trade Organization, wrote a report that stressed “the need for government and businesses to work as partners, while both must better engage the will of the people.”

“This partnership must seek structural changes that aim at long-term solutions, free from the logics of electoral cycles,” Azevêdo argued.

Wake Up America. You’ve Been Conned. Only An Estimated 9,683 Covid-19 Only Deaths So Far In 2020, Not 180,000

About half-way down the screen page The Center for Health Statistics August 26, 2020 update on provisional death counts for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) states the following: “For 6% of the deaths, COVID-19 was the only cause mentioned.”

Oh.  You mean America is not undergoing a pandemic?  On average, abut 8000 people die per day from all causes in the United States.  In the first 8 months of 2020 there were only ~1200 excess deaths per month or 40 extra deaths per day exclusively due to COVID-19 coronavirus infections, with 80% of those among American age 65 and older.  By extrapolation, there were only ~8 excess COVID-19 only deaths per day among working-age adults and school-age children.

Translation: of the 161,392 accumulated COVID-19 RELATED deaths reported as of August 22, 2020 (80% being among Americans age 75 and older), only 6% or ~9683 accumulated deaths were classified as COVID-19 only. Among these COVID-19 only deaths, ~60% were age 75 and older; 80% were age 65 and older. So, there were only ~2000 COVID-only deaths in working age adults and school-age children.

SHOCKING: Explicit adult performances in front of children at Texas Christmas-themed drag queen event

One drag queen talked to a 9-year-old and said to the boy’s mother, “You are such an awesome mom for bringing your kid out to a family-friendly drag show.”

https://www.foxnews.com/us/texas-town-holds-separate-christmas-parades-backlash-drag-queen-float-children

An “All Ages” drag show was held on Wednesday in Austin, Texas called “A Drag Queen Christmas,” which was performed in front of over 20 children and featured performers doing acts like “tits in a box,” simulated sex, spankings, and telling stories of sexual encounters.

Independent journalist Tayler Hansen tweeted, “‘All Ages’ Drag Queen Christmas Mega Thread Yesterday, a blatantly sexualized show meant to groom children was hosted in Austin, TX. This is a national tour with 36 shows in 18 different states, including DC. There is much to go over so it will be covered in this thread.”

Hansen reported on one performer who performed with his “tits in a box,” and said to a child in the audience, “are you reaching for my titties, are you hungry.” The same performer had several people spank him.

Another act was “Screwdolph the Red Nippled Reindeer” in which “they simulated sex countless times, sexualized a child’s story, including Santa, and had sexual videos playing in the background.”

“When the host asked a child what his favorite part of the show is he replied ‘nothing’,” Hansen added.

In another performance men danced with kink harnesses and simulated sex acts. The lead drag queen talked to a 9-year-old and said to the boy’s mother, “You are such an awesome mom for bringing your kid out to a FAMILY FRIENDLY DRAG SHOW.”

The drag queen “Crystal Methyd” also performed in a sexualized fashion and, according to Hansen, “At the end of the performance Crystal licks his ‘Peppermint breasts’ and the host, Nina West, says ‘mmm minty fresh’.”

In another “Crystal Methyd” act the performer sexualized the ghost of Jacob Marley from Charles Dickens’ immortal classic, “A Christmas Carol.”

Another drag performer spent several minutes talking to several children in the front row. One child said they watch Ru Paul’s Drag Race but could not mention their favorite performer.

At one point the drag artists said, “Are you having fun, are you enjoying it, are you confused yet?”

Hansen tweeted, “The host, Nina West, played a ‘game’ with the audience called naughty or naughty. The game involved giving explicit details of sexual encounters. In the video, Nina details having sex with her dad’s coworker in his office. An audience member shared his explicit story as well.”

“‘I saw you guys with your mom in the meet and greet, where’s Melinda the mom? Melinda right? Wait tell me your name again. Sonya! We need more mothers like you in the world, thank you so much.’ The Drag queen then addressed the children of the parent,” Hansen reported of another encounter.

“Over 20 children were in attendance at this show,” Hansen said. “These are the kinds of shows being marketed as ‘all ages’ and ‘family friendly’. Activists try to spin these shows as being educational and important to LGBTQ rights. It will be interesting to see how they try to spin this one.”

The event was advertised as “The Naughty Tour” online but that portion was quietly removed from advertising.

The next date on the tour is December 17th in Dallas, Texas.

Hansen also reported that the host of the show, Nina West, “is affiliated with Disney+ and Nickelodeon.” Both networks create content exclusively for children.

Nickelodeon uploaded a video by West titled “The Meaning of Pride,” with the description “Drag queen Nina West performs an original song about the meaning of the rainbow Pride flag. June is Pride Month, so let’s celebrate by lifting up voices in the LGBTQIA+ community!”

West was featured in the Disney+ original special “This Is Me: Pride Celebration Spectacular.” That special featured West performing as Disney princesses and West also closed the episode out with a duet with Kermit the Frog.

Soros-Funded Nonprofit Gets $12 Mil from U.S. to Empower Workers in Latin America

www.judicialwatch.org/us-to-empower-workers-in-latin-america/

Soros’ Open Society… He’s a problem! Because of his continual funding and backing the far left progressive agenda and push for the NWO, he is dictating where American tax dollars are going! Why us this even allowed? And the Biden administration just thinks it is perfectly acceptable to give his his Open Society Foundations 12 MILLION DOLLARS OF AMERICAN TAX DOLLARS TO the SOLIDARITY CENTER, the country’s largest union conglomerate, the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO).

The Biden administration is giving a nonprofit partially funded by leftwing billionaire George Soros’s Open Society Foundations (OSF) $12 million to strengthen labor rights and empower workers in three Latin American countries. The U.S. taxpayer dollars will go to the Solidarity Center, a Washington D.C.-based group closely allied with OSF as well as the country’s largest union conglomerate, the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO). The Solidarity Center’s mission is to help workers across the globe fight discrimination, exploitation and systems that entrench poverty. It claims to accomplish this by empowering workers to raise their voice for dignity on the job, justice in their communities and greater equality in the global economy.

The group will use the $12 million to “strengthen democratic, independent workers’ organizations in Brazil, Colombia and Peru,” according to the Department of Labor (DOL) announcement issued this week. The project will bolster unions and advocate for the full and free exercise of collective bargaining rights and freedom of association, the agency writes, adding that the focus will be on underserved communities and advancing gender and racial equity. Specifically, the American taxpayer dollars will support activities that improve respect for the rights of Brazil’s Afro-Brazilian, migrant, women and LGBTQI+ workers in the digital platform economy and the manufacturing sector. In Colombia, the focus will be on increasing the capacity of women, migrants, and indigenous people to organize and advocate for workers’ rights. In Peru, the goal is to improve access to mechanisms for labor rights compliance in the mining and agriculture sectors, particularly for indigenous and migrant workers.

The Solidarity Center, which claims to be the largest U.S.-based international worker rights organization, also operates in Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Most of its funding comes from Uncle Sam, but private groups like OSF also contribute generously. In 2020, the Solidarity Center received nearly $39 million in federal awards, according to its latest annual report. In 2019, the center got over $36 million from the U.S. government. Additionally, the group gets millions annually in “other revenues” that are not broken down. However, records obtained by Judicial Watch show that the OSF has given a lot of money to the Solidarity Center in the last few years. In 2020, the latest available reporting period, OSF gave the Solidarity Center $980,000. In 2019 the center received $785,000 from OSF and in 2018 it got $400,000 from the Soros nonprofit that has dedicated billions of dollars to leftist causes around the world. Soros’s global foundation explains that the grants are for economic equity and justice, access to justice for migrant workers in the U.S., to improve labor rights in Mexico and Central America, and the empowerment of vulnerable workers in the domestic and agricultural sectors in the Middle East.

The U.S. government has long funded Soros groups as well as those with close ties to them like the Solidarity Center. Judicial Watch has reported on it for years and obtained records that show the disturbing reality of American taxpayers financing Soros’s leftwing plots abroad. This includes uncovering documents showing State Department funding of Soros nonprofits in Albania to attack traditional, pro-American groups and policies; U.S. government funding of Soros’s radical globalist agenda in Guatemala , Colombia, Romania and Macedonia. The cash usually flows through the State Department and U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Details of the financial and staffing nexus between OSF and the U.S. government are available in a Judicial Watch investigative report. Domestically Soros groups have pushed a radical agenda that includes promoting an open border with Mexico, fomenting racial disharmony by funding anti-capitalist black separationist organizations, financing the Black Lives Matter movement and other groups involved in the Ferguson Missouri riots, weakening the integrity of the nation’s electoral systems, opposing U.S. counterterrorism efforts and eroding 2nd Amendment protections.
